Environmental Council Meetings

The last Thursday of each month at 7:00pm in the Town Hall.

New members are always welcome.

 

The Lumberland Environmental Council welcomes Spring by hosting our Annual Earth Day Celebration. The event will be held on Sunday April 22, 2012 at the Lumberland Town Pavilion on Proctor Rd. If you have any questions or would like to host an activity please call Cheri Bodnaruik 858-7987 or Ann Danuff 856-7989.

Our Annual “Fill My Pickup” Litterpluck Event will be Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 9am to 1pm. Help the Environmental Council in cleaning up our town roadsides with a little friendly competition to see who can pluck the most trash and recyclables. Winners are awarded a traveling plaque to proudly show their community support. Sign-up will be at the Lumberland Town Pavilion. Grab your neighbor and come on out! Don’t forget your bug spray!

 

 

 

The LEC offers a variety educational seminars and informational events to residents of Lumberland, and has the responsibility for conducting ongoing water quality tests on our streams and waterways.
