2022 TAX COLLECTION LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given: that I, Laurie Terry, Town Clerk/Tax Collector have received the Tax Roll and Warrant for the collection of taxes in the Town of Lumberland, Sullivan County, New York, for the year 2022 and have fixed the following schedule for receiving taxes:

Include your Bill or Tax Map Number (i.e. 14.-1-92) AND PHONE # on your check.
***PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS APPROXIMATELY A 2.65% FEE FOR USING CREDIT CARDS

The Last Saturday of each month January 29th, February 26th, and March 26th

If using Installment Plan: First payment MUST be postmarked no later than January 31, 2022
IF YOU MISS THE FIRST INSTALLMENT, BALANCE MUST BE PAID IN FULL.
Send “Payment #1” stub ONLY with your check DUE by January 31, 2022 – 0% interest
Send “Payment #2” stub ONLY with your check DUE by February 28, 2022 – 1% interest on unpaid balance
Send “Payment #3” with your remaining balance DUE by March 31, 2022 – 2% on unpaid balance plus $2.00
An additional fee of $2.00 is included in your March payment as required by State Law.
FULL payment may be made at any time during collection. Please include your bill with payment using the coupon for the current month. There is a $20 returned check charge plus any fees which may be levied by the bank.
If paying multiple parcels on one check each parcel will incur a $20.00 returned check charge.
Receipts for Jan/Feb installment payments will only be sent upon request, or can be obtained via the Internet at www.taxlookup.net.
This Tax Collector’s Warrant expires March 31, 2022. Payments made after that date, are payable to the Sullivan County Treasurer with interest, according to section 924-A of the Real Property Tax Law.
You must call (845) 807-0200 for the total amount due.
If you no longer own this property or have had a change of address, please notify the assessor with the new information or forward bill to the rightful owner if possible.
SOLID WASTE FEE: Sullivan County has imposed an annual fee to pay for solid waste disposal. This fee appears as a separate line item on your tax bill and is payable along with the tax. Please direct all questions to the County Treasurer’s office at (845) 807-0200.
If you are a senior citizen AND this is your PRIMARY RESIDENCE you may be eligible for Senior Citizen Tax Exemptions. Senior Citizens have until March 1, 2022 to apply for such exemptions.
